The RIPs disease

I have a disease for my character. Do you want to know what it is? He has The RIPs. also known as the ripps. The RIPs is a magical disease that only a magic being gets when too much magic has been building up inside of them. If they don't use their magic that's how they get the disease. It got it's name Ripps because the first symptom is farting a lot. (Let it rip. Get it?) That was the body's way of getting rid of the unused magic. If left untreated it became known as the RIPs because it would rip your body apart releasing the magic and you would be dead. You CAN get rid of this disease at its early stages by getting you magic drained by a trained Witch Doctor.But once you are too weak to walk and you have a fever of 102 degrees it's too late. Thats why its important to catch the early signs of the RIPs. Mostly farting but also burping. The MAJOR sign is that your skin takes on a blueish tint and then before it's too late, you sparkles. Thats your body's way of saying "DAMMIT CAN"T YOU TELL THAT SOMETHINGS WRONG HERE!"
